As you arrive at Paro International Airport, our representative will be there to warmly welcome you. From the airport, enjoy a scenic drive through the picturesque Paro Valley, offering your first glimpses of Bhutan's pristine landscape and traditional architecture. Upon reaching your hotel, check in and take some time to relax before lunch.

In the afternoon, begin your cultural exploration with a visit to Ta Dzong, a centuries-old watchtower that now serves as Bhutan's National Museum. This unique circular structure houses an exceptional collection of ancient Thangka paintings, traditional textiles, weaponry, and historical artifacts, offering rich insight into Bhutanese history and spiritual heritage.

Following the museum visit, take a short walk to a nearby traditional wooden bridge, a charming example of Bhutanese craftsmanship.

Begin the day with an early morning hike to the iconic Taktshang Monastery, famously known as the Tiger’s Nest. Perched dramatically on a sheer granite cliff about 3,000 feet above the valley floor, this sacred site is one of Bhutan’s most revered pilgrimage destinations. The hike to the viewpoint takes approximately an hour and a half and rewards you with awe-inspiring views and a deep spiritual atmosphere. Originally destroyed by fire in 1998, the monastery has since been beautifully restored to its former glory.

After descending, proceed to visit Drugyel Dzong, a site of historical significance. Though it lay in ruins for many years, reconstruction is now underway. This fortress once served as a strategic stronghold where the Bhutanese repelled Tibetan invasions. On a clear day, the site offers a breathtaking view of Mount Chomolhari, also known as the "Mountain of the Goddess," soaring to 24,000 feet.

Before leaving Paro, make a stop at Kyichu Lhakhang, one of the oldest and most sacred temples in Bhutan, built in the 7th century. This temple holds immense spiritual value and reflects the early introduction of Buddhism to the country.

Later in the day, drive to Thimphu, Bhutan’s charming capital city. The journey is scenic and relaxing, taking you past traditional farmhouses, lush paddy fields, and alongside the tranquil flow of the Paro and Thimphu rivers. Upon arrival in Thimphu, check in at your hotel and enjoy the rest of the evening at leisure. 

Today is dedicated to discovering the highlights of Thimphu, Bhutan’s charming capital—a city where ancient traditions and modern life coexist harmoniously.

Begin your day with a visit to the National Memorial Chorten, a revered stupa built by the Royal Queen Mother in memory of the Third King, His Majesty Jigme Dorji Wangchuck. This site is an important spiritual landmark where locals gather to offer prayers. Continue to Changangkha Lhakhang, a centuries-old monastery perched on a hilltop, offering views of the valley below. Then, head to the Motithang Takin Preserve, home to Bhutan’s national animal—the rare and curious-looking Takin.

Next, enjoy a panoramic stop at a scenic viewpoint, perfect for capturing the beauty of the Thimphu Valley. Visit the National Library, which houses a rich collection of ancient manuscripts and Buddhist literature, followed by a tour of the Folk Heritage Museum, where you can step inside a traditional Bhutanese farmhouse and get a glimpse of rural life.

In the afternoon, if time permits, visit the grand Tashichho Dzong, which houses the throne room and offices of the King as well as the monastic body. You’ll also have the opportunity to see a traditional handmade paper factory and browse local handicraft centers, where artisans display intricate works including textiles, wood carvings, and paintings. The evening is free for leisure, allowing you to explore the city at your own pace or relax at your hotel.

Begin your day in Thimphu with a visit to the Bhutanese Post Office, where you can view and even customize your own stamps—a delightful souvenir for philatelists and curious travelers alike. If your visit falls over the weekend, take the opportunity to explore the vibrant weekend vegetable market, where locals from surrounding villages gather to sell fresh produce, handmade crafts, and traditional goods. It’s a wonderful way to experience the rhythm of everyday Bhutanese life.

Later in the morning, depart for Punakha, crossing the scenic Dochula Pass at an altitude of 10,000 feet. On a clear day, the pass offers a breathtaking panoramic view of the snow-capped peaks of the Eastern Himalayan range, making it one of the most picturesque spots in Bhutan. Take a moment to admire the 108 memorial chortens (Druk Wangyal Chortens) built in honor of Bhutanese soldiers.

Upon arriving in Punakha, visit the majestic Punakha Dzong, widely regarded as one of Bhutan’s most beautiful and historically significant fortresses. Situated at the confluence of the Pho Chhu and Mo Chhu rivers, this impressive dzong serves as the winter residence of the Je Khenpo, Bhutan’s Chief Abbot, and was once the country’s capital. Its stunning architecture, picturesque setting, and sacred ambiance make it a truly unforgettable highlight of your journey.

Conclude your day with a gentle exploration of the serene Punakha Valley, surrounded by terraced rice fields, traditional villages, and river landscapes.

Begin your day early with a scenic drive from Punakha to Bumthang, often referred to as the “Switzerland of Bhutan” for its breathtaking landscapes. On the way, stop at the charming town of Wangduephodrang before continuing towards Trongsa, crossing the Pelela Pass, which stands at around 4,000 meters (13,000 feet). Depending on the season, you may encounter snow-capped surroundings in late fall or vibrant wildflowers in early spring. If you’re lucky, you might spot nomadic yak herders tending their herds grazing near the pass. Weather permitting, enjoy panoramic views of the majestic Black Mountain Ranges.

En route, visit the Chendebji Stupa, built in a traditional Nepali style reminiscent of the famous Boudhanath Stupa in Kathmandu, Nepal. Afterward, arrive in Trongsa for lunch, followed by a visit to the imposing Trongsa Dzong, the largest fortress in Bhutan, which played a key role in the country's history and unification.

Continue your journey to Bumthang, stopping at the Yatha Weaving Centre along the way. Here, you’ll see the production of Yatha, a distinctive woolen fabric that is an essential part of the traditional costume worn by the people of the Chumey Valley in Bumthang. 

Begin your morning with a visit to Jambay Lhakhang, a historic temple founded in the 7th century by Tibetan King Songtsen Gyalpo.This temple is one of the 108 monasteries he established across the Himalayan region, with two of them located in Bhutan. Next, explore Kurjey Lhakhang, one of the most sacred sites in the country. The oldest structures here date back to 1652 AD and are built on a rock face where the revered Guru Rinpoche meditated during the 8th century.

From Kurjey, take a walk to Tamshing Lhakhang, a monastery known for its ancient murals, then visit a Swiss farm nearby, offering a contrast between local Bhutanese life and international influences. Later, drive to Mebartsho, also known as the Burning Lake, a site of deep pilgrimage significance for Buddhists. According to legend, Guru Rinpoche concealed sacred treasures throughout Bhutan, and the saint Terton Pema Lingpa discovered some of these treasures in this very lake, which is shrouded in mystical aura.

After lunch, visit Jakar Dzong, which serves as both the administrative center for the Bumthang district and the headquarters of the local monastic community. You will also have the chance to see Wangdicholing Palace, the historic royal residence that is no longer in official use but remains a site of interest.

During your leisure time, stroll through Chamkhar town to explore local handicraft shops and the bustling market, providing a glimpse into everyday life in Bumthang. 

This morning, depart from Bumthang and head towards the tranquil Gangtey Valley, also known as Phobjikha Valley. This picturesque valley is famous for being the winter home of the endangered Black-necked Cranes, which migrate here every year from Tibet to escape the harsh cold.

Thanks to the dedicated conservation efforts by the Royal Society for the Protection of Nature (RSPN), the population of these beautiful birds has been steadily increasing, helping to preserve their vital habitat.

A highlight of the day is a visit to the Gangtey Monastery, a prominent spiritual site in the region. The monastery plays a central role in the cultural and religious life of the local community. 

Begin the day by completing your sightseeing in the scenic Gangtey Valley, taking in any remaining points of interest you may have missed. You might explore more of the valley’s natural beauty or visit local villages to experience authentic Bhutanese rural life.

On the way back, stop at Wangduephodrang, a historic town known for its traditional architecture and picturesque setting.

Afterward, continue your journey with a scenic drive back to Thimphu, where you can relax and reflect on your experiences. The evening is free for leisure or additional exploration in the capital. Overnight stay in Thimphu.

Enjoy a scenic drive through fragrant pine forests and traditional villages as you make your way to the remote Haa Valley, located in western Bhutan near the Tibetan border. Known for its pristine natural beauty and cultural heritage, Haa has only recently opened to tourism due to its previous status as a military cantonment of strategic importance.

Upon arrival, explore several ancient monasteries that reflect the valley’s deep spiritual roots. Wander through the charming town, taking in the tranquil atmosphere and the simple lifestyle of the local people. Depending on your preference, you can spend the night in Haa or continue onward toward Paro.

If continuing to Paro, you will pass through the dramatic Chelela Pass, one of Bhutan’s highest motorable passes. From here, enjoy panoramic views of the vast Haa and Paro valleys below. On clear days, the majestic Mount Jhomolhari graces the horizon, offering a truly breathtaking sight.

After breakfast, begin your journey from Haa to Paro, crossing the scenic Chelela Pass, which sits at nearly 4,000 meters in altitude. This drive offers spectacular views of the surrounding Himalayan landscape and is one of the highest motorable passes in Bhutan.

Upon arriving in Paro, visit the stunning Rinpung Dzong, famously known as the Fortress of the Heap of Jewels. Constructed in 1646 under the leadership of Shabdrung Ngawang Namgyal, this extraordinary fortress was built entirely without the use of nails. Today, it serves both as the residence of the Paro monastic community and as the administrative center for the district. With its impressive architecture and deep historical significance, Rinpung Dzong stands as a captivating highlight of your Bhutan journey.
