Day to Day Itinerary

Your Bhutan adventure begins with a spectacular flight into Paro, offering panoramic views of the snow-capped Himalayas, including Mount Everest, Kanchenjunga, and Bhutan’s sacred peaks like Jomolhari and Jichu Drake.

Upon arrival at Paro International Airport, our friendly representative will greet you and assist with formalities.

Drive to Thimphu: A scenic 2-hour journey through lush valleys, traditional villages, and forested hills brings you to Bhutan's charming capital, Thimphu, the world's only capital city without traffic lights.

Check in at your hotel and relax for the afternoon, soaking in the peaceful atmosphere of this Himalayan city.

Begin your day with an immersive cultural tour:

Tashichhodzong (Fortress of the Glorious Religion): An iconic symbol of Bhutan’s spiritual and political heritage, this majestic 17th-century fortress serves as the seat of the government and houses the King’s offices. Nestled along the banks of the serene Wang Chhu River, Tashichhodzong showcases the finest traditional Bhutanese architecture, with its intricate woodwork, towering, whitewashed walls, and gilded rooftops gleaming under the Himalayan sun.

Handicrafts Emporium & Local Craft Shops: Explore Bhutanese artistry, with opportunities to purchase traditional handicrafts, thangkas (religious paintings), textiles, and souvenirs.

Folk Heritage Museum: A beautifully preserved traditional Bhutanese farmhouse showcasing rural life, ancient tools, and artefacts.

In the afternoon, drive to Punakha via the Dochu-La Pass (3,088m). On clear days, enjoy stunning views of Bhutan’s snowy peaks and the distant Himalayas, and see the 108 Druk Wangyal Chortens that adorn the pass.

Your third day in Bhutan offers a rich exploration of western Bhutan’s heritage as you make your way to the scenic town of Paro.

Begin your morning in Punakha, the former capital until 1955, known for its stunning natural beauty and deep historical roots. Explore the stunning Punakha Dzong, a remarkable fortress situated where the Pho Chhu and Mo Chhu rivers converge. This fortress-monastery boasts impressive whitewashed walls, intricate wooden carvings, and gilded rooftops, embodying the spiritual and political heart of Bhutan’s past.

Next, continue to Wangduephodrang, a town perched above the confluence of two rivers and famous for its dzong, which, despite partial fire damage, remains a symbol of the region’s importance. While there, explore the lively local market bustling with colorful stalls selling traditional handicrafts, fresh local produce, and unique souvenirs—a true taste of Bhutanese daily life.

On the way to Paro, make a stop at Semtokha Dzong, Bhutan’s oldest fortress, built in 1627. Though modest in size, it is historically significant and now serves as home to the Institute for Language and Cultural Studies, an institution dedicated to preserving the country’s cultural heritage.

A deposit amounting to 30% of the total invoice value must be paid at the time of booking in order to secure and confirm all arrangements.

The remaining balance (70%) must be paid no later than 50 days prior to the arrival date of the guests.

Any changes to the booking after confirmation may incur additional charges and will be subject to availability.


Cancellation Policy

Cancellation made within 50 days of the arrival date: 50% of the total invoice amount will be charged.

Cancellation made within 40 days of the arrival date or later: 100% of the total invoice amount will be charged.

No refunds will be provided for no-shows or unused services after the commencement of the tour.
